Therapy for men with anxiety and impulsivity that complicates relationships

  • You’ve got a solid job, your partner’s great, you’d spend every weekend with the friend group you’ve created, and people love you because you’re loyal and make everyone laugh…but inside you feel restless and you cope with destructive habits.

  • You go between feeling totally overwhelmed to completely checked out.

  • You impulsively turn to activities you know aren’t helping but don’t know how to stop.

  • You love your partner, but can’t seem to say the right thing to them when it really matters.

  • You feel frustrated with yourself, thinking, “I’ve got to get a handle on my issues.”

About

I’m Leya (pronounced like Star Wars - no relation).

I specialize in helping men whose stress response gets in the way of important relationships. The individuals and couples I work with often start therapy because they’re ready to stop feeling out-of-control, anxious, or emotionally shut down.

I get how challenging it can be to open up and tell someone what you’ve been keeping inside and behind closed doors. That’s why my priority is creating the trust and the space for my clients to talk things out in session.

My clients usually stay with me because I show up with them as a real human. I like to think I have a healthy balance of not taking myself too seriously while also deeply investing in my client’s growth.

Imagine ending the day feeling confident and proud of yourself. You communicated clearly when it mattered and acted intentionally which made you feel good about you.
