About
My expertise is relationship counseling. My clients receive trained relationship guidance from someone who is obsessed with the way relationships work.
Maybe it wouldn’t have mattered who you picked for your therapist when you were younger.
But you’re at a place in life where you’re looking for someone who actually knows what they’re doing when it comes to relationship counseling.
I remember being a kid at church and watching the other kids mull around with their games and make-believe worlds. Or I don’t actually know what the hell they were doing because I was too busy observing and interpreting what the grown-ups were doing in their interactions. Nothing was more entertaining to me.
It may come as no surprise then that I grew up to study cultural anthropology and urban studies, work in local government (imagine Leslie Knope but with less power), study to become a couples and family therapist, and move to NYC. I couldn’t get enough of studying why humans interact in the ways we do.
There is something about relationships that fascinates me. Before I graduated from grad school I’d completed extracurricular specialty training in couples therapy. That is an admission that I’m a relationship nerd. I can’t believe I get to help people connect for a living. I feel extremely grateful to be in this work.
My motto is, “You are capable of creating great relationships” and I am serious. YOU CAN LEARN TO BE GOOD AT RELATIONSHIPS. I wish I could yell this from the rooftops, even though we’re in New York City and literally no one would pause for a second to try to hear what I’d said. Yes, relationships can be hard but the ways to make them good are SO DOABLE.
So when I tell you you don’t have to stay stuck in your relationship woes, I’m speaking from experience and expertise. You can create great relationships, now.
